The LA Brea on Josefstrasse has been serving brunch like in Los Angeles since November. In the hip food hangout with a Californian-Mexican twist, a colorful mix of huevos rangeros, tacos, churros and buttomless mimosa meets and is sprinkled with dull hip hop beats.
Every table occupied, a well-frequented children’s corner with toys (which are only available on Sundays) and dull hip hop beats from the speakers. The place pulsates. Since mid-November, brunch has been served in LA Brea on Sundays.
There are almost 23 positions to choose from. Most of them come from typical Californian-Mexican cuisine. These include, for example, Huevos Rancheros, Burrito, Chilaquiles, Quesadillas and Tacos. In addition, they also serve classic brunch dishes such as granola bowls or avocado toasts.
Fans of boozy brunches will also get their money’s worth in LA Brea: The Mimosa (prosecco with orange juice) is available buttomless!

Harry’s tip
The good mood in LA Brea is contagious! The simple dishes are convincing. The buttomless Mimosa makes you happy. What more do we want?
And what of all did we particularly like? Definitely the tacos with the bacon strips. They were unexpectedly delicious. Likewise, the fried chicken wings, which were served with sweet churros. A surprising combination.
The highlight, however, was, without question, the good Sunday mood and the child-friendliness. Just as we hoped it would be.
