Santiago.- Cooperativa La Altagracia, Inc., organized for all its associates and the general public the conference “Timely Detection of Breast Cancer and Emotional Support”, this Wednesday, October 2, in its Rafael Narciso Vargas assembly hall, in its building 70th anniversary.
Rafael Narciso Vargas, president of Cooperativa La Altagracia, opened the conference by highlighting the importance of health and well-being in the community. “Our commitment goes beyond providing financial services; We want to contribute to the comprehensive well-being of our partners and the community. Health is a fundamental pillar for development,” stated Vargas in his introductory speech.
Naly Cruz, an expert in oncology, addressed the relevance of early detection of breast cancer, emphasizing that self-examination and regular mammograms are key tools to increase survival rates. «Education and prevention are our best weapons. “Each one of us has the power to make a difference in our lives and in the lives of those around us,” Cruz said.
Jocabed Vila, a psychiatrist specialized in emotional support for cancer patients, stressed the importance of mental health during the diagnosis and treatment process. «Cancer not only affects the body, but also the mind. It is vital to have an emotional support system that provides tools to face this disease,” explained Vila.
