Questions of method in the human sciences
This course consists in tackling classic questions of the philosophy of science from the methodology of the human sciences. We are dealing with methodological difficulties which appear to be specific to these sciences. These difficulties are organized around three main themes: experimentation, the relationship between the scientist and the object of his investigation, and quantification. Within the humanities, the emphasis is on sociology and history. The course provides tools to question the distinction between the human sciences and the natural sciences.
