The young drug driver went online early on Saturday afternoon during a focus check. As reported by the state police department, officials from Vöcklabruck stopped the car from the Salzburg area at the entrance to the motorway. The sight and behavior of the L17 handlebar suggested that he had used drugs. He could hardly keep his eyes open. A rapid drug test confirmed the suspicion: It gave a “strong positive result for cocaine”, according to the police. A medical officer finally determined that the 18-year-old was unfit to drive. The boy had gone on a training trip with his father and mother, which consequently ended in Mondsee.
In addition to the young drug driver, the Vöcklabruck police officers caught other traffic offenders during the main controls. One man was behind the wheel without a driver’s license, another had 1.54 per thousand alcohol in his blood, and another had accelerated his vehicle to 184 km / h on an open road.
In addition, the traffic police brought numerous other violations to the report, including two license plate removals.
