/ world as we speak information/ In the summertime of 2014, the artistic fund of the Artwork Gallery “Vladimir Dimitrov – Grasp” was enriched with 86 works of the artist Raina Evtimova, donated by the household of her nephew Wilhelm Timov. The exhibition “Donation of Raina Evtimova” presents one of the best of the brand new assortment – figures, portraits, landscapes, nonetheless lifes, drawings.
Raina Evtimova (1884 – 1969) was born in Kyustendil. She graduated from the Ladies’ Faculty within the metropolis. He studied on the State Drawing Faculty in Sofia below Ivan Mrkvichka, Petko Klisurov, Ivan Angelov, Boris Mitov and Boris Mihailov. She participated within the Balkan and Inter-Allied Wars as a volunteer – a sister of mercy. She was awarded a commemorative brooch with a monogram, personally by Queen Eleonora von Reuss-Köstritz, organizer of the programs for Sisters of Mercy on the entrance and founding father of the Bulgarian Purple Cross. In 1921, he held his first and solely solo exhibition within the corridor of the Kyustendil Ladies’ Excessive Faculty. Reveals landscapes and portraits – oil portray and watercolors. He labored as a instructor for a few years. In 1938 he retired, receiving a letter of thanks for his quarter century of service from the Minister of Public Schooling.
