During their conversation, Li indicated that “China is ready to work with Greece to continue high-quality cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen cooperation in shipping and expand ties with Athens in energy , telecommunications, green development and the digital economy’. Beijing is also willing to strengthen communication and cooperation with Greece in multilateral formats and jointly promote the development of China-EU and China-CEE relations. The prime minister also called for more active interaction in humanitarian exchanges, including culture, tourism, scientific innovation and sports.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured that Greece will continue to firmly adhere to the “one China” policy and is willing to strengthen cooperation with Beijing in investment, trade, shipping, tourism, culture and other fields.
