In Nicosia, some roads will be closed to traffic due to the “Kyrenia Gate Urban Demonstration Stage” to be held within the scope of the Rally Championship.
In this context, the part of Cemal Gürsel Street in Nicosia, between the Highways Department Directorate intersection and the Republic Assembly circle (Martyrs’ Monument), will be closed to vehicle traffic between 20.00-24.00 today and between 16.00-24.00 on Saturday, October 14.
The statement made by the Police Press Officer is as follows:
“The 7th race of the 2023 Rally Championship will be held by the Northern Cyprus Touring and Automobile Organization (KKTOK) on 13, 14 and 15 October 2023, where the Kyrenia Gate Urban Stage, Kanlıköy, Ergenekon, Serdarlı and Tirmen Stages will be held.
For the Kyrenia Gate Urban Demonstration Stage to be held within the scope of the Rally Championship; The part of Cemal Gürsel Street in Nicosia, between the Highways Department Directorate intersection and the Republic Assembly Circle (Martyrs’ Monument), will be closed to vehicle traffic between 20.00-24.00 today and between 16.00-24.00 on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and transportation alternative will be provided through roads.
There will be no road closures in the Kanlıköy, Ergenekon, Serdarlı and Tirmen Stages, which will be passed on 14 and 15 October 2023.
“The drivers who will use Cemal Gürsel Street on October 13 and 14, 2023 are kindly requested to drive slowly and carefully, and to obey the traffic signs and signals, for the safety of life and property of themselves and the athletes.”
