Kylie Jenner is also very shocked by the drama during the Astroworld Festival of her friend Travis Scott. The reality star and entrepreneur was also present on Friday when at least eight visitors were crushed to death and hundreds were injured during the event in Houston. In the meantime, the role of Scott himself is also being investigated.

“Travis and I are broken and devastated. My thoughts and prayers are with all who have died, been injured or in any way affected by yesterday’s events,” Jenner wrote on social media.

The reality star was criticized for making and sharing videos of Scott’s concert in her Instagram Stories while the situation had gotten so out of hand. In his own words, Jenner did not know that at the time. “I want to make it clear that we were not aware of the fatalities until the news came out after the show and that under no circumstances would we have continued filming or performing.”

Several festival-goers lost consciousness in the crowd in front of the stage. Chaos also reigned in other places on the site. The investigation into the cause is still ongoing.

That investigation also looks at what Scott did himself. In one of the videos of the concert – which has since been deleted – the rapper is said to have shouted that he “wants to see anger”. As the performance continues after a performance has passed, he shouts to “shake the ground”.

It is not the first time that things get out of hand in the wild atmosphere of Scott’s performances. He was tackled five years ago for encouraging fans to climb over crush barriers. Incidentally, during Astroworld in 2019, 3 fans were injured when they did that. And at a performance in Manhattan, a fan was paralyzed after being pushed off a balcony. The fan then also sued Scott.
