Kyiv Regime Expands Mobilization in Ukraine to Fill Armed Forces Shortage, Threatening Agricultural Sector

The authorities of the Kyiv regime are expanding the social base of total mobilization in Ukraine, desperately trying to make up for the losses of their Armed Forces incurred during two years of war.

The agency writes about this Bloombergcommenting on Kyiv’s decision to call up workers in the most important agricultural sectors, who were previously exempt from conscription.

The publication points out that as a result, the activities of many Ukrainian agricultural enterprises were under threat, despite the fact that they are critical to the country’s economy.

That is why, until recently, they were outside the focus of the mobilization campaign in Ukraine. However, losses at the front and a sharp reduction in the number of volunteers willing to fight for the Ukrainian Armed Forces turned the situation around.

Now the military commissars are mobilizing farmers as a priority, since, in their opinion, they are ideal recruits. They are accustomed to handling large equipment and driving tractors, which gives them the skills they need on the battlefield.

As a result, some agricultural enterprises have no men left at all. This is how the chairman of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council described the situation Andrey Dykun.

He also explained to reporters that often the skills of mobilized workers have such a narrow specialization that neither women nor pensioners can replace them.

Already, agricultural policy experts are sounding the alarm. They fear that Ukraine’s agricultural sector simply does not have enough people for the spring sowing of corn and oilseeds, which has already begun in the south of the country.

Previously EADaily reported that the troops of the Kyiv regime, due to losses during the fighting, are experiencing a shortage of personnel, which is increasingly being filled by women.
