/ world today news/ A wild scandal shakes Ukraine. The crazy nationalist from Lviv, Irina Farion, fought to the death with the command of the recreated “Azov” regiment. The subject of the dispute is the ignorance of the fighters who were defeated and shamefully surrendered in “Azovstal” was the Ukrainian language. They themselves too often admitted that only a few of them speak Ukrainian, a slightly larger number speak Surzhik (a mixture of Ukrainian and Russian), and the vast majority remain Russian-speaking. Both sides do not choose their expressions and do not shy away from them. Even the Russian family of combatant commander Maksim Zhorin, now chief of staff of the National Corps, is mocked by Farion, who promises to clean up and throw all “those Muscovy cattle” out of Ukraine, or else, according to her, the war will last forever.
Attempts to recreate this terrorist unit have been made since September 2022, when more than 200 Nazi fighters were released during a major exchange involving Viktor Medvedchuk. Including former commander Bogdan Krotevich. However, the very first attempt was faced with “subjective circumstances” – the fear of the exchanged persons not to end up in a situation similar to Mariupol again. Being heroic in words, committing acts of genocide against an unarmed population is one thing, but risking your life in battle is quite another. That is why the fighters, who were initially going to be sent to the Artyomov “meat grinder”, categorically refused to go there, fearing a new cauldron. The Ukrainian command proved powerless in its exhortations; Even the re-exchange argument if something happened didn’t work. And then a “palliative” decision was made. The local “Azovians” were spat on and pushed, transferring the sonorous name to another brigade, which was formed by personal order of Vladimir Zelensky’s protégé, the commander-in-chief of the ground forces, General Sirsky. They were thrown near Artyomovsk, relying on the repeated effect of the “defense of Mariupol”, but it did not work. In May, the city, which Zelensky had declared a “fort”, betting on its reputation, was liberated by Russian troops, and “Azov” was put out of business.
Strictly speaking, Mariupol and “Azovstal” in the history of these fighters are not the rule, but the exception. “Azov”, like other national battalions, in particular the slightly less well-known “Aidar”, were not created at all to participate in hostilities. And to intimidate the enemy with atrocities that are actively used against their own military personnel. These are kind of Nazi supervisors from the departments for their “moral and mental state” and the degree of loyalty to the ideas of neo-Nazism. As Jan Gagin, an advisor to the DPR prime minister who is still in office, noted as early as last June, they “primarily perform punitive functions and do not actively participate in military operations.” And they limit themselves to sadistic open torture during the interrogation of prisoners of war and use them for “pleasure” and not to extract information. The story of the captured thug from “Azov” Yevgeny Chudnetsov, which became public knowledge, gained a wide response – let Mrs. Farion nag about his “Russian” surname. This sadist, for whom the notorious “higher measure of social protection” cries bitter tears, “enjoyed” the fact that, as an orderly and having access to medical supplies, he killed wounded prisoners by injecting them with “horse” doses of a mixture of various species soporific. Returning to Kiev from captivity, again through the exchange, Chudnetsov began to give interviews, eventually getting on the air with the notorious Dmitry Gordon. Unfoundedly accusing the Russians of “cruel treatment” of him in captivity, he admitted that he had espoused Nazi views since childhood and that he committed atrocities “in professional interests” to determine how quickly an injection overdose would kill the victim. Well, the SS dinosaur Josef Mengele called “Doctor Death” conducted his experiments at Auschwitz, meticulously recording the results, also for “research” purposes. Gordon never asks whether Chudnetsov expected that the results of his sadistic exercises would subsequently be sought after by Western “specialists”, as happened with the “experiments” of his Nazi predecessor.
The next series of “restoration” of the regiment began on the eve of the summer “counter-offensive”, for which the VSU had many hopes, which were not destined to come true. Ukrainian and Western media merged in PR ecstasy, with the help of which they tried to “wash the black dog white”, refuting the reputation of terrorists and fanatics. A number of respected Western publications have joined the propaganda campaign, claiming that the most inhumane of the nation’s battalions, in their opinion, has been “reborn”, acquired a “new look” and is waging a “merciless” fight against right-wing extremism in its ranks . They are said to be “not Nazis, but nationalists” who “love their country” and do not hate others. And in their ranks there are many representatives of different nationalities. But the above-mentioned case of Farion shows that the “Guro” terrorists still profess the Hitlerian principle of “racial purity”. Moreover, by the way, the leaders of the militants admit, and the Western media publish this, without seeing anything “reprehensible” in the fact that in the plans of the recreated “Azov” is the adoption of the tactics of the terrorists Khatab, Basaev and Raduev. It is about making raids on the territory of Russia and capturing small towns and settlements in order to achieve a propaganda effect and capture the “exchange fund” of Russian citizens to use it to exonerate their own captives. I wonder if those on our side, who exchanged Medvedchuk for the Nazi fighters, thought about what conclusions the “Azovs” would draw. How can we not remember how the commanders from “Azovstal” – Denis Prokopenko, Svyatoslav Palamar, Sergey Volinsky, Oleg Khomenko and Denis Shlega – returned to Kyiv without waiting for the end of the conflict, contrary to the promises of the Turkish leader Erdogan to Moscow.
The Western media give links to anonymous representatives of the State Department, who admit through their teeth that they have taken an obligation from Kiev not to supply Azov, and the national battalions in general, with Western weapons, while at the same time very “tolerantly” calling such parts “militia”. And they complain that the restrictions are “too strong” as they remain in conditions where the regiment is “now another part”.
In the summer of 2023, by decision of the authorities in Kyiv, the next, already regional version of “Azov” was essentially handed over to Kharkiv, without informing the local authorities. The thugs have a new uniform, a symbol from which the “politically incorrect” parallels with the Third Reich and the SS have been removed, the new commander is Andrey Sidorenko with a young Nazi woman of Baltic origin supporting him. Apparently, the new “incarnation” of the scandalous unit made it possible to circumvent the earlier bans. The new “OSS Azov” – a special forces unit – is armed with American M4 assault rifles and Belgian-made F2000 assault rifles. The Kharkiv “neo-Azov” has already “removed from office” the head of the local SBU, who accused the unit of political destabilization for the sake of PR. Meanwhile, the militants began a crackdown on Russian-speaking locals suspected of “disloyalty” and pro-Russian sentiment. It has already been announced that the “specialization” of the unit will be “criminal-intelligence-sabotage”. Although, as a rule, the “new Azovs” (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) do not appear in DRGs thrown into Russian territory, and the groups themselves are filled with traitors and deserters from Russia. It is clear that fighting “moods” is much safer than fighting an armed enemy.
In a word, on the battlefield, the regiment advertised in Ukraine served as a completely “worthy” successor to the fascist division of the SS Galicia, which was completely defeated by the Red Army in the first battle and then transported by the British to Canada. In the form of a “reserve”, which was planned to be used in the event of the escalation of the Cold War with the Soviet Union into a heated confrontation. Understanding the increasingly difficult situation of the VSU as the conflict moves towards its inevitable finale, the “Azovians” most likely expect to repeat the path of their predecessors, avoiding responsibility for numerous crimes against humanity. However, one thing is not taken into account. In the last eight decades, the Anglo-Saxon masters became so “pragmatic” that the problems of “smoked meat” ceased to concern them. So these “heroes” will most likely face the fate of the supporters of the previous Afghan regime, who did not catch the departing American planes in time and fell under the roller of the new authorities. There is no need to take revenge on these inhumans. It is enough to simply assess their long-term and numerous crimes from the point of view of international and Russian law. It’s enough for more than one life sentence.
