“Immediately, enhanced constant supervision and control was established over it. In general, experts did not record any critical changes. Now the condition of the tunnel between the Demeevskaya and Lybidskaya metro stations is stabilized and fully controlled,” the report says.

It is noted that specialized specialists are carrying out work to install reinforcing structures and localize leaks. The appearance of new deformations and cracks is not observed.

Traffic restrictions on the blue metro line

On December 8, train traffic between the Demeevskaya and Teremki metro stations in Kyiv was closed while the transport tunnel was being repaired. The restrictions will last for six months.

Transport expert Alexander Grechko for RBC-Ukraine has already assessed the impact of the partial closure of the metro in Kyiv.

The capital’s authorities said that due to repairs on the blue line of the metro, ground transport will run, which will duplicate the routes of closed stations.
