Ukrainian authorities may put some pressure on the Druzhba pipeline to influence countries that do not want to give up oil coming from the Russian Federation. This was said by Elena Zerkal, adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy, quoted by world agencies.
The adviser clarified that according to Kyiv, Budapest has taken advantage of the situation and started blackmailing the EU. It turns out that Kyiv has an excellent lever for pressure – the Druzhba pipeline. Zerkal pointed out that the pipeline passes through Hungary.
“It’s very appropriate if something happens to him. It is up to the government with the president to decide whether we want to speak to Orban in a language he understands and imposes on the EU, “Zerkal said.
A number of European countries, including Hungary, are blocking the sixth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, which is considering giving up oil from the Russian Federation.
