On February 16, Ukraine and the Russian Federation carried out another exchange of prisoners of war, as a result of which 100 servicemen and one civilian returned to the territory controlled by Kyiv, and 101 servicemen returned to Russia.

Yermak’s direct speech: “We continue to return Ukrainians from captivity. Today, 100 of our soldiers and 1 civilian are going home. Among the released fighters are the National Guards, border guards and the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 94 of them are the defenders of Mariupol, including 63 soldiers from Azovstal. Their relatives have been waiting for them for so long.
Many of the heroes received injuries of varying severity.
We continue to work, thanks to the team and the Coordinating Headquarters for the treatment of prisoners of war. We’ll bring everyone home.”
Literally, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation: “Today, February 16, as a result of the negotiation process, 101 Russian servicemen who were in mortal danger were returned from the territory controlled by the Kyiv regime.”
Details: The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports that the released servicemen will be delivered by aircraft of the military transport aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces to Moscow for treatment and rehabilitation. They are already receiving medical and psychological assistance.
The Ukrainian side announced the exchange following the Russian one.
