Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll (29) has, like most artists, been at home a lot in the last year and a half.
In the last week, however, he has returned to the stage, with a number of US concerts – at the Red Rocks in Denver, in Las Vegas and in Aspen.
Now the concert organizer Sky Agency announces that Kygo will hold a concert next year, at Ullevaal Stadium on 2 July.
In a press release, they write that this will also be the only opportunity to see Kygo in Norway in 2022.
The last time he performed live in front of the audience present in Norway was at Findings in August 2019. In March, he streamed a digital concert recorded on Strandafjellet.
When asked why there will only be one Kygo concert in his home country next year, Sky Agency points out that this will be the largest single concert Kygo has done so far in his career.
It promises “a spectacular experience”, with room for 31,000.
Will avoid getting burned out
– Ullevål will be my biggest show ever, so we will not save anything there! People can expect a good evening with more guest artists, Kygo writes in an email conveyed to VG via the concert organizer.
He further reports that it feels very good to be back at work.
– I felt I was ready to get out on a journey again!
In an interview with a British magazine, Kygo reported last year that quiet days at home had made him reevaluate the hectic touring life.
– I still think I will play a few fewer shows than I have done before, he says now.
– I try to keep a good balance so I do not get burned out and can continue with this for several years to come.
