Actor Kwak Do-won (49, real name Kwak Byeong-gyu), who lives in Jeju, was arrested by police on charges of drunk driving.

The West Jeju Police Station announced on the 25th that it had booked Kwak Do-won on charges of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.

Kwak Do-won was arrested by police while intoxicated while sleeping in a car with his SUV parked on a street in Bongseong-ri, Aewol-eup, Jeju-si around 5am that day.

The police received a report from the residents that “a car parked on the street was not moving” and came to the place and woke him, who was sleeping in the car, and took a breathalyser test.

It was confirmed that the blood alcohol level was above the license revocation value (0.08%).

At the time of his arrest, he obediently obeyed the police to take a breathalyser test.

He is known for claiming that he drove a car from Hallim-eup to Aewol-eup to the police station.

A police official said: “There have been no other accidents caused by drunk driving, only drunk driving.”

Kwak Do-won debuted in 1992 and has appeared in such films as Steel Rain 2: Summit (2020), “International Investigation” (2020) and “There Is No Goo” (2022).

He moved and lives in Jeju.
