Kvartararo wins the first stage of the MotoGP season

The MotoGP 2020 season at the Heres track in Spain started with Frenchman Fabio Quartararo’s first career victory, followed by Maverick Vigneless and Andrea Doviciozo.

The race was led by the Yamaha factory Vinjaless, followed by six-time world champion Mark Marche and first place owner Quartararo. Soon a fight broke out between the two leaders, in which Marquess proved to be superior, but a little later the Spaniard made a mistake, almost experiencing a fall, but still sticking to his motorcycle and returning to the race from the last places.

In the eighth lap, Vignale made a mistake by running Quartararo and Jack Miller in front of him. If Vinjales later managed to fight Miller, Quartararo went on to face a convincing victory.

Mark Markess showed a great pace on the track, fighting up to the third position during the race, but in the 4th bend of Heres there was a heavy fall, which this time Markes left the race, and Markes was also taken to the medical center.

In the final laps, in the fight for the remaining podium positions, Vinjaless took the second place, while Ducati rider Andrea Doviciozo won the third position.

Millers finished fourth in the Spanish GP, Franco Morbidelli was fifth, and Paul Espargaro finished first.

Luka Marini won the Moto2 race, but Albert Arenas was the fastest in Moto3.

The next stage of MotoGP is expected in a week, when the Andalusian Grand Prix will take place on this same Heres track.
