KV Thomas is now a special representative of the state government; Cabinet approves appointment with Cabinet rank
Thiruvananthapuram: Former Congress leader K.V. Thomas will be the special representative of the state government in Delhi. The appointment with cabinet rank was approved in the state cabinet meeting.
Earlier A. Sampath was the special representative of the state government in Delhi.
It has been eight months since KV was expelled from the Congress. Thomas is given a status by the government.
At the time of Thrikkakara by-elections, K.V. defied the prohibitions from the Congress and attended the seminar of the CPI(M)’s party Congress. Thomas’ participation was highly controversial.
He was expelled from the party after he challenged the central and state leaders of the Congress, despite being given several notices for indiscipline.
