Kuzmin’s brother, Anton Šipulin, is also on the EU’s sanctions list

In response to Russia’s decision to recognize the independence of the People’s Republic of Luhansk and the Donetsk People’s Republic, the European Union has adopted sanctions that also affect several former athletes.

Sanctions were imposed on 351 State Duma deputies who, on February 15, voted in favor of President Putin’s call for the need to recognize the independence of the two separatist republics.

Restrictive measures they include an asset freeze, a ban on providing funds to listed individuals and entities, a ban on entry or transit through the EU. Informs sports.ru.
