KUWAIT CITY > An agreement to collect traffic fines from vehicles from various Gulf countries that violate traffic laws by entering Kuwait has reportedly helped Kuwait. About 400,000 traffic violations were recorded against the vehicles of Gulf nationals visiting Kuwait this year, some of them as serious as speeding and reckless driving. Earlier it was not practical to levy fines on vehicles registered in other Gulf countries for such violations. But under the new agreement, such violations have been sent to the respective Gulf countries to collect fines from their citizens. It is estimated that it will be around 8 million dinars.
