Kuwaiti Voters Head to Polls to Elect National Assembly Members in 17th Legislative Term

Kuwait, June 6 / WAM / Kuwaiti voters today started the polling process to elect members of the National Assembly in its seventeenth legislative term.

The Kuwait News Agency stated that the 793,646 male and female voters who have the right to vote will choose 50 deputies from among 207 candidates in a voting process that takes place according to the one-vote electoral system.
She explained that after the closing of the voting door at eight in the evening and the end of the voting process, the vote counting process begins, in preparation for announcing the official results and naming the winners of the membership of the Council for the next four years.
