Kuwaiti Actress Shams Responds to Criticism and Defends Her Views on Religion

Kuwaiti actress Shams responded to the criticism leveled at her because of her talk about religion and her denial of the Day of Resurrection, stressing that she studied medicine and religion and speaks in her specialty.

Shams said: “I can’t talk about something without understanding it, and I studied a lot and did a lot of studies, and I say my opinion about what I understand about it; Because I studied psychology and all religions, politics and medicine, and it benefits people, because our Lord will hold me accountable if I do not say the word of truth.” Shams added, “Our society confines women and tells them to stay in the kitchen, but I am against this, and I see that women must do what they want.”

As previously, Shams sparked widespread controversy with her talk about the life of celebrities and the Day of Resurrection, and she said in a previous television interview: “Most celebrities live a fake life and live with a fake one, and share their love and love stories on social media, and all people wish to live their lives, but when I see them or hear them say, Lord, take me.” From this planet because I’m tired. And Shams added, “I believe that the resurrection is present in this world, and that everything we do will be returned to us while we live, not in the afterlife, and this is my own belief.” Shams confirmed that her talk about religion is not intended to offend anyone, and that she only talks about what she believes in.
