With the introduction of visa electronic application system, the job market in the country will become more transparent. Officials said that expatriates who are new to Kuwait can use the app to ensure the validity of their entry visa before entering the country. The decision to launch the app was taken by the Demographics and Labor Market Development Committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Talal Khalid Al Ahmed Assabah.
Prior to the official release of the Kuwait Visa App, the ministry said it is working and coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, various airlines and Kuwaiti embassies abroad. Once the app is officially launched, visitors will be allowed to enter Kuwait only through the visa app. It is hoped that with the advent of the electronic digital system, it will be possible to eliminate fake visas and prevent the entry of those with criminal records or infectious diseases. As part of the project, the Home Minister announced the Smart Employees ID, which includes all information related to non-resident workers.
