Al-Kuwait | Decision to check the graduation certificates of natives and foreigners working in the government sector in Kuwait. The action was triggered because numerous false degree certificates were found during the inspection conducted in recent days. Certificates of expatriates working in government agencies will be checked regardless of their period of service.
Those over 60, holders of high school diplomas from private schools and those who have recently obtained a university degree will be covered. In addition to checking certificates, practical and theoretical tests for graduates such as engineering will also be conducted. The exams will be conducted in collaboration with the Kuwait Engineers Society. In the course of last month’s inspection, 142 natives were seized for fake degree certificates obtained in the name of Egyptian universities.
With the connivance of some employees of the Kuwait Cultural Bureau in Egypt, they took possession of the fake degree certificates. Further investigations revealed that an Egyptian national working in Kuwait paid 500 dinars each and provided false certificates.
