Kuwait lifts ban on 35 nationals, including India; Come live from tomorrow | Pravasi | Deshabhimani

High-risk nationals in the Kovid context have been barred from coming directly to Kuwait since August 1. The first ban was for 31 nationals. Afghanistan, France, Argentina and the United Kingdom were later added to the list.

The DGCA said that those coming to Kuwait can choose from 35 hotels as quarantine. They can choose from a five-star hotel for 725 Kuwaiti dinars to a single room for 270 dinars for 14 days. Before arriving in Kuwait, all travelers must show proof that they have booked a hotel and are registered with the Kuwait Mosafar app.

Due to the lack of direct flights, expatriates from India came to Kuwait via the UAE. At the same time, it is reported that the number of high-risk countries may increase to 60. Countries such as the UAE, the United States, Germany and South Africa may also be included in the list.
