Kuwait: Kuwait ranks first among Gulf countries in terms of 5G network speed. The report was released by the local Arab newspaper quoting the technical reports released in this regard. The report also indicates that among the Gulf countries, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have made a big jump in the speed related to the operations of video, mobile phone clips, etc. using the (5G) network.
Kuwait and Saudi Arabia excelled in this field with 19% each. Speed is 13% in Bahrain, 12% in UAE, 9% in Qatar and 8% in Oman. Kuwait recorded 10.8 times faster download speed compared to 4G network. The UAE is second with 8.1 times the speed and Saudi Arabia is the first with 7.7 times the speed.
Qatar ranks fourth with 7.1 times faster download speed compared to 4G network and Bahrain ranks fifth with 5.3 times faster. But download speed is only 5.2 times compared to 4G network in Oman.
Kuwait is also leading in 5G network availability. 5G network is available in 39.4% of areas in Kuwait. Bahrain has 26.8%, Saudi Arabia has 23.5%, Qatar has 15.6% and Qatar has 14.2% in the region. At the same time, Oman is lagging behind in terms of 5G network availability with 13.7%.
The paper reports that Kuwait leads the Gulf countries in terms of multiplayer games, playing clips etc. through mobile phones, and voice communication through real-time applications.
