Kuwait City Traffic Inspections Lead to Record Violations and Drug-related Arrests

Doha: Two people were arrested for smuggling drugs in Qatar. The accused were arrested by the Ministry of Home Affairs. A three-minute video of the raid was shared by the ministry on social media. The authorities caught them by following the accused’s car. Many prohibited items have been seized from their vehicles.

Strict vehicle inspection; During the week, 21,858 violations were detected and 130 vehicles were impounded

Kuwait City: Strict vehicle inspection in Kuwait. The inspections were conducted in all the governorates under the direct instructions of Major General Yusuf Al Khadda, Assistant Under Secretary for Traffic and Operations Affairs, Ministry of Interior. The traffic department said that a total of 21,858 violations were found during the inspections.

130 vehicles were seized. 23 people were arrested for driving under age. 12 people were arrested in connection with security and criminal cases. Apart from this, six cases related to possession and use of drugs were also registered. Public Relations and Traffic Awareness Department officer in the General Traffic Division said that the traffic operations sector had formed an integrated traffic safety plan including all circular main, expressway and external roads with the aim of controlling the traffic situation during the last week of Ramadan. Colonel Abdullah Bu Hassan said.
