Kuwait City: The criminal court sentenced two Egyptian brothers to two and a half years in prison in the case of defrauding a local citizen in Kuwait. They took 11,000 Kuwaiti dinars from the account of a Kuwaiti citizen.
The accused had hacked the consumer protection database of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. They are accused of extorting money from Kuwaiti citizens and expatriates through WhatsApp, claiming to be calling from the Consumer Protection Department.
