Latvian basketball player Artūrs Kurucs scored eight points in the Spanish Premier League (ACB) game on Sunday, helping Vitoria’s Baskonia celebrate victory.
“Baskonia” beat Compostela’s “Monbus Odraidoro” in their field with the result 80:74 (17:15, 17:21, 28:19, 18:19).
For the Vitoria team, this was the thousandth victory in the Spanish championship.
Kurucs started the game in the starting five, spending 15 minutes and 41 seconds on the field. He made two long-range shots and one of three two-point shots in the basket. Two long shots and eight points for him is a new record for ACB.
He also scored twice, intercepted one ball, broke the rules four times and scored five efficiency points. With Kurucu in the square, “Baskonia” scored 17 points more than the admission, which was the best indicator in the team.
Lucas Wildosa was the winner with 19 points.
Rinald Malman, on the other hand, remained on the reserve bench on Sunday in a game in which he represented the Murcia UCAM guests with a 73:63 (9:17, 21:15, 19:12, 24:19) advantage over Bilbao’s “Retabet”.
It has already been reported that Roland Schmidt scored five points on Saturday, putting his hand in the Barcelona team’s 82:53 victory over Seville’s Real Betis.

Last season, Vitoria’s “Baskonia” was crowned ACB champion, beating the “Barcelona” team in the final match of the mini-tournament.
