Latvian basketball player Rodion Kurucs on Tuesday in Strasbourg scored 17 points in the victory of the French club “Strasbourg” in the second overtime of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Champions League in the game, but Marc Steinberg scored 16 points in Manreza’s Baxi win.

The Strasbourg team, which is coached by the head coach of the Latvian national team Luka Bankiin the first game of the second group tournament in Group I, they defeated “Hapoel” of Holon with 112:110 (20:25, 25:23, 24:20, 19:20, 9:9, 15:13) at home.

In the first stage of the competition, “Strasbourg” took first place in Group A with four wins in six games, immediately securing a place in the round of 16 of the tournament.
“Baxi” beat Vilnius “Rytas” at home with 80:69 (19:19, 26:18, 18:12, 19:20).
Steinberg was on the court for 19 minutes and 32 seconds in the Group J game, making two of three 2-pointers and three of five long-range shots, as well as all three free throws. He also has four rebounds, one assist, four assists, one steal, plus a +/- of +4 and an efficiency rating of 19.
Devin Robinson scored two more points for the winners, while Marcus Foster stood out for the losers with 25 points and eight rebounds.
32 teams compete in eight groups of four units. The winners of the groups immediately enter the round of 16, while the second and third place winners will compete in the “play-in” series in January 2023.
In the quarter-finals, the teams will play duels until two wins in April, and the season will end with the “Final Four” tournament in May.
