Khimki finished cooperation with head coach Rimas Kurtinaitis, according to the official website of the Moscow Region team.
The club decided to dismiss the Lithuanian specialist after 12 consecutive defeats in the Euroleague. Yesterday Khimki suffered the biggest defeat in history against Anadolu Efes (60:99).
Andrei Maltsev, who previously worked as an assistant, will be acting as head coach.
The 60-year-old Kurtinaitis has been coaching the Moscow Region club since 2019. At the moment, Khimki is in last place in Euroleague with 2 wins in 20 matches.
