Indonesian legend, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, screams a lot in training sessions Indonesian U-24 National Team for Asian Games 2023 at Field A, Senayan, Friday (15/9).

One of the greatest strikers for the Indonesian National Team is one of Indra Sjafri’s assistants in the U-24 Indonesian National Team. Kurniawan was brought in specifically to hone his front line instincts.

Under observation CNNIndonesia.comKurniawan installed cones before training at Field A, GBK Complex, Senayan, Jakarta which took place on Friday morning.

Kurniawan also gave directions to the players in the initial training session. Before training started, Kurniawan was seen discussing with Indra in the middle of the field. During that session, Indra just watched.

“Once you hold the ball, you have to score a goal in five seconds!” Kurniawan shouted at the players who were playing in a half court format of six against six players.

In practice players are asked to flow the ball quickly. One or two touches practiced by Rizky Ridho and friends. Play simple so emphasis.

It seems that the ‘pepepa’ or short-short-long philosophy of Indra’s concoctions is starting to be instilled. This philosophy resulted in the 2013 AFF U-19 Cup, 2019 AFF U-22 Cup and 2023 SEA Games gold.

Several players, such as Ramai Rumakiek and Robi Darwis, were shouted at by Kurniawan several times. Players who make mistakes immediately receive verbal correction.

The training, which was attended by 15 players, was short. The total training time was only about one hour and 10 minutes. The intensity is not too high. Mediocre.

The final training session ended with a penalty shootout. Almost all players are asked to become executioners. Two goalkeepers, Daffa Fasya and Adi Satryo were the guards.

Training before leaving for the Asian Games was not forced. This is because some of the new players appeared in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification and the rest trained with the club.

The Indonesian national team is in Group F of the 2023 Asian Games along with Kyrgyzstan, Taiwan and North Korea. Indonesia’s first match took place against Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday (19/9).
