“Kurnia Meiga: The Indonesian Goalkeeper Forced to Retire Due to Eye Disease”

Previously, in 2021, Gilang Widya Pramana, who was then President of Arema FC, explained that Kurnia Meiga suffering from an eye disease that forced the goalkeeper to retire early from football.

The last time Kurnia Meiga fell up and down in saving his goal was when he defended Arema FC against Barito Putera in Liga 1 2017 on August 23 2017.

“Many are request Kurnia Meiga to become Arema FC goalkeeper again. However, his condition has impaired vision,” added Gilang Widya mid-June 13 2021.

“So it’s certain that he can’t play football anymore. Even though he can’t play anymore, at least he can still contribute to Arema FC. What’s good about Si Entong being placed?” wrote Gilang Widya asking.
