Kurdish testimony from the seconds a train hit 4 people in Karawang

Kurdi (57) is still thinking about the horror when the Fajar Utama Solo train going to Pasarsenen-Solo hit four people and they died on the spot. Kurd didn’t even have the heart to see the victim lying next to the train tracks.

This tragic incident happened in Kotabaru District, Karawang Regency on Sunday (22/9). Kurd, who lives near the railway line, panicked when he heard screams from outside his house.

“Yes, by coincidence yesterday morning I heard screaming, I came out and saw there was a commotion, it turned out to be an accident (accident),” said Kurdi, while what he was talking to detikJabarat the scene of the incident, Monday (23/9/2024).

Kurdi said that two trains were going from two different tracks at the time of the incident. Unusually, Kurdi heard the sound of a train horn that did not stop.

Coincidentally, Kurdi’s residence was close to the railway line, and back to the railway line, so he already knew what the train was like passing his customs. However, the loud sound of the train’s horn that morning felt unusual according to Kurdi.

As soon as he left the house, Kurd was surprised to see a victim lying there. Kurd saw three people lying down.

“Actually there were two papas trains, but I thought it was strange why the sound of the train’s horn was not as loud as usual. I went out of the house in the back and it turned out that there were children and mothers who had been there. was hit by the train, and the other was a grandfather, but he was on the other side,” he said.

Seeing this happening, Kurdi also felt shock and panic. Even though he was a man, he could not stop crying when he saw the horror that had happened.

“Even though I’m human, I didn’t feel like crying. It was so horrible to see that two children from one mother were beaten. Of course, my neighbor, Mr. Bahanan, was there too, apparently. he became a victim because he was trying to help,” he said.

Seeing this, Kurd, unable to hold back his tears, shouted to local residents to evacuate the victim’s body.

“Yes, I can only scream for help, but I still have to evacuate. We, local residents, are also waiting for police officers,” he concluded.

As it is known, four people were killed when they were hit by a train (KA) Fajar Utama Solo Pasarsenen-Solo Division to be precise at km 88 + 700 of the upstream section of the Cikampek-Tanjungrasa road, Kampung Daringo, Selatan Town Pangulah, Kota Baru District, Karawang Regency, Minggu (9/22/2024) morning.

The victims were seriously injured and one of them was even trapped in the body of the train and was transported to Subang. Of the four killed, two were children aged 7 years and 9 years. His identity continues.
