Jesper Karlsson jumped in and had to switch with Dejan Kulusevski. When Kulusevski saw that it was Karlsson who was coming in, he appeared and whispered something.
– He said: if you don’t score two goals, you’re shit, says Karlsson.
It was a goal for Karlsson – and what a goal. He stepped forward and pulled up a free kick on the crossbar.
– It was Svanberg who was tackled and I thought I hope no one comes and argues about this now, because I was so focused. I took a few extra breaths and then it sat, he says.
– It was very fun to show that I want to be here.
How did you feel when it sat?
– I was moved. A dream that came true. Very funny.
Would you like more playing time?
– It’s not up to me. I try my best when I come in.
– Emil said yesterday that it is bad that I had not yet scored a national team goal. I went in with that feeling now, that I wanted to do it. So it was fun.
After the match, the supporters shouted for Jesper Karlsson, who had to go there and start a song.
– I was moved. Crazy fun. But then it was a very alibi song that I came up with. There was so much in my head. I drove: We are all Swedish fans, haha.
