Kulon Progo – Deputy Chairman 1 of the Kulon Progo DPRD, Ponimin Budi Hartono died while on a working visit in Magetan, East Java. The deceased will be buried tomorrow in Pengasih, Kulon Progo.
Public Relations of the Kulon Progo DPRD Secretariat, Sri Ratna Fitriastuti, explained that the deceased would be buried at Damplakan Cemetery, Mrunggi Hamlet, Sendangsari Village, Pengasih, Kulon Progo at around 14.00 WIB. The location of the grave is not far from the residence of the deceased.
“Yes, it’s still around that,” he said when asked by journalists for confirmation, Tuesday (16/1).
As is known, Ponimin was declared dead while on a working visit in Magetan, East Java. The deceased had complained of pain so he had to be referred to Siti Aisyah Madiun Hospital this afternoon.
At around 18.10 WIB, Ponimin was declared dead. “He was tired, so he was taken to a hospital in Madiun. He received treatment for a while but it didn’t help,” said the Secretary of the Kulon Progo DPRD, Sarji, when asked by journalists for confirmation, Tuesday (16/1).
“Incidentally, he does have a history of heart disease,” he added.
Ponimin himself serves as Deputy Chair 1 of the Kulon Progo DPRD. He is known as a senior politician from PAN and serves as chairman of the PAN Kulon Progo DPD.
Ponimin served several times as a people’s representative from electoral district II including Pengasih and Kokap. Originally, he would run again through the same electoral district in the 2024 Legislative Election.
