Kulhánek: Fully vaccinated will not have to take the test after returning from abroad

“From Friday, fully vaccinated Czechs will not have to undergo any test (or quarantine) regardless of the country from which they arrive. It will be enough to fill in the arrival form,” said Foreign Minister Jakub Kulhánek (CSSD).

The new rule also applies to people who come from countries that are marked in red at a traffic light. Until now, it was true that tourists would expect double tests when they returned. One upon departure from the country, the other after arrival in the Czech Republic. Even though they need to be vaccinated or have already suffered from the disease.

Neighboring Slovakia also decided to change, and at the end of the week it will reopen all border crossings with neighboring countries, which it closed due to concerns about the rapidly spreading delta mutation of coronavirus.

At the same time, from 9 July, Slovakia introduces a mandatory quarantine for all newcomers who have not received vaccinations. Kulhánek announced that a postponement had been negotiated for the Czechs. The first dose will suffice.
