Ukraine, unlike Russia, does not need to privatize anything, says Kuleba

Earlier, the Russian minister said that Ukraine “privatized” the Day of the Baptism of Rus. Kuleba answered.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba on Thursday, August 26, replied Russian colleague Sergei Lavrov on the statement about the “appropriation” of history.

On the eve, Lavrov said that Ukraine “privatized” the Day of the Baptism of Rus.

“Russian colleagues, Ukraine, unlike you, does not need to privatize anything. As we have been on our land for thousands of years, we remain on it. You are trying to appropriate someone else’s history, someone else’s food, someone else’s culture. Ukraine has been, is and will be,” – said Kuleba.

He noted that they have been trying to call Moscow a center for hundreds of years.

“There are no two Kievs. There is one Kiev and this is Ukrainian Kiev. It is the capital of the Ukrainian state. From the very beginning it was the capital of Ancient Rus. This is our history. Our present. Our past,” he said.

Kuleba also called the “very nervous” reaction of the Russian Federation to the decree on the introduction of the Day of Ukrainian Statehood.

“An extremely nervous reaction sounded from my colleague Sergey Lavrov and from Russia in general. This is normal, we should take it calmly. in general, according to Ukrainian history, they are irrelevant, historically incorrect, “he said.
