Kuleba met with Blinken in Berlin (photo) – UNIAN

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmitry Kuleba On May 15, he held a new meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Berlin.

As the Foreign Minister said in his Twitter among other things, they agreed on new arms shipments.

“More weapons and other aid are already on their way to Ukraine,” Kuleba wrote.

The Minister also stressed that they had agreed on cooperation on Ukrainian food exports to Africa and Asia.

“I am grateful to Secretary of State Blinken and the United States for their leadership and unwavering support,” Kuleba added.

Earlier, Kuleba told how Ukraine asked for weapons before the war with Russia. According to him, arms negotiations continued for several months before the Russian invasion and in the first weeks after the start of the war. Talking about the negotiations, Kuleba recalled a conversation with Blinken at the end of February.

“I asked him that perhaps it was finally time to give Ukraine the Patriot air defense system. He said: “Dmitry, in principle, this can happen. But it will take at least two or three months to teach your people how to use them,” the minister said.

Kuleba noted that the partners did not expect a protracted war, but its course could have been different if Ukraine had the necessary weapons.
