KU Awards: Clinic awarded for best marketing and communication

Braunschweig. After the “PULS” clinic magazine received the KU Award last year, the Department of Communication and Media at the Braunschweig Clinic was once again able to celebrate – this time two prizes. Due to the corona pandemic, however, the prize was not presented personally this time. The Braunschweig Clinic was awarded first place in the categories “Best Clinic Marketing” and “Excellent Patient Communication”, as the hospital reported in a press release.



The KU received numerous applications from hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation clinics and companies in the health industry relating to the marketing of health facilities. A total of six categories were awarded. The Braunschweig Clinic submitted one application in each of two categories – “Best Clinic Marketing” and “Excellent Patient Communication” – and took first place with both applications.

“We are extremely proud of these awards. They show us that, with our creative approaches and original implementation, we have our finger on the pulse of the times, even in difficult times, ”explained the hospital’s managing director Dr. Andreas Goepfert. Head of Communication Thu Trang Tran added: “Moving images as a means of communication have become indispensable these days. With this means we carried out educational work and supplemented the standards, such as posters, and created an even greater range – for an important topic. We are very proud of that. ”A jury of experts assessed the individual projects with regard to originality, innovative strength and quality of the strategy.

“Best clinic marketing”: Disinfectant production on your own in times of Corona – a fight for the region

“The film shows the strong, local togetherness of all protagonists in the crisis. The need is great. Risk-free work is no longer possible in hospitals and practices. The clinic’s pharmacy has taken its own initiative and Corona has taken the fight With the support of a local company, the pharmacy itself produced disinfectants. The recipients were the clinic as well as practices, retirement homes and pharmacies in Braunschweig and the region. The clinic takes its responsibility as the maximum provider of the region and gives the citizens a feeling of security ” , so the Braunschweig Clinic.

“Excellent patient communication”
“In times of uncertainty and a pandemic, with a virus that did not exist before, many rumors and half-knowledge circulate. With the animated info clips, easy-to-understand imagery and accessible to everyone – relatives, patients, Employees and citizens of the region carried out educational work. With the videos, topics such as “How am I tested” and “What happens in quarantine” were continuously explained in a video series on the hospital’s social media Regional radio stations and local media reported on the clinic’s educational work, “explains the Braunschweig Clinic.
