KSW 63: The fight of the evening did not disappoint! Roberto Soldić is still the KSW champion

In the evening’s fight for the championship belt, Roberto Soldić faced Patrik Kincel. The favorite was the current KSW champion, but the Czech, who not so long ago thought about ending his career, could not take his chances before the start of the duel. He is a demanding opponent with considerable experience and great skills. We could expect a very good fight and many powerful blows that would hurt the opponent.

The beginning of the fight was very calm. Both players were quite cautious and approached the rival with great respect, not wanting to risk in the first minutes of the duel, which was planned over a distance of five rounds. The first attack was initiated by Kincl, but Soldić managed to avoid the blow. A moment later, the Czech kicked the liver perfectly, which was certainly felt by the Croat who retaliated with the left hook. Then the fight moved to the ground floor, where the defender of the championship belt dominated.

In the second installment of this clash, Kincl dealt his cards. Czech did everything to bring Soldic to the ground floor and after a lot of confusion – he did it. However, the Croat was lying next to the net, which clearly helped him. The player from the Balkans made a position to go for the guillotine and for a moment the Czech had a lot of trouble, but he got out of this situation unscathed.

In the third round, Croatian “Robocop” hit Kincel with a hellish strong blow, who fell just inside the net. Soldić immediately caught up with the rival and tried to fasten the triangle with his hands, and when it failed, he “beat” the opponent, leaving the judge no way out. The duel had to be interrupted. After the fight, he ran out of the cage and ran straight to Mamed Khalidov to persuade him to fight a duel. The KSW star entered the center of the octagon and expressed a desire to compete with the Croatian champion.

In the first of the three most important fights of the evening, Michał Andryszak crossed gloves with Darko Stošić. It was a heavyweight duel, after which you could expect impressive attacks from both sides, because both players are not afraid of exchanging blows. The beginning was fairly calm. Of course, there were many strong hits on both sides, but they did not bring the desired results. Before the match, we expected Andryszak to want to bring his rival to the ground and it is in this plane to fight, because the Croatian is extremely dangerous in a stand-up, and so it happened. The Polish player worked from the top and thanks to that he gained an advantage.

The second round was much slower. Both players fought in spurs, trying to land a blow from time to time that would have surprised the opponent. At the very end, the fighter from Poznań looked as if he had run out of strength, and Stošić became more active. In the third installment, the Croatian had a bigger advantage over time. He was pushing forward, and Andryszak standing up was practically inactive. He focused only on defense, on survival. The judges, who made an unanimous decision in favor of the Croatian competitor, had to decide about the fate of this clash. So the second round was crucial.

During the KSW 63 gala, Damian Janikowski faced Paweł Pawlak, who was making his MMA debut. At the beginning of the first round of the penultimate fight of the evening, Janikowski hit his rival, but he wisely jumped away, preventing the bronze Olympic medalist from following the blow. After a while, he delivered a few kicks himself. Pawlak controlled the course of this clash. At the very end, he went to Janikowski to emphasize his advantage.

The Olympian had a lot of problems, he was unable to get close to the opponent, his front leg was more and more red, because it was consistently hit by a fighter from Łódź. The player, who made his KSW debut, did not keep his guard, which was what Janikowski tried to take advantage of, who in the second round hit with a strong right, after which his rival staggered a bit. At the end of the second installment, the wrestler still knocked down his opponent. In the last round, Pawlak showed the full range of his skills. It is true that the Wrocław citizen brought his rival to the ground floor several times, but he defended himself perfectly. Once again, the judges had to decide about the victory, not for the first time that evening, they were unanimous and indicated 32-year-old Pawlak as better in this match.

On October 23, the next KSW 64 gala will take place in the Atlas Arena in Łódź. There will be plenty of exciting duels, for example with the participation of master Sebastian Przybysz.
