KSP Main Expert Requests Evidence of Anies Baswedan’s Concerns

KSP Main Expert, Ade Irfan Pulungan, requested Anies Baswedan not just accusing him of fears of tripping which he expressed when responding to President Joko Widodo’s ‘cawe-cawe’ statement (Jokowi). Ade said Anies needed to have evidence of these concerns.

“That concern should not turn into an accusation and slander. He must also be able to prove it, if he really feels the way that was conveyed. Don’t just convey it verbally to the public in forums that exist without evidence, certainty that can be proven to be true of that concern. ,” Ade told reporters, Wednesday (31/5/2023).

“Which one is his concern that can be proven, so that we don’t guess or even later turn it into slander or fake news,” he continued.

Ade said Jokowi’s statement regarding the cawe-cawe contained a clear meaning for the interests of the nation and state. Jokowi, said Ade, will obey the existing laws and will not harm democracy.

“This means that the expression Pak Jokowi conveyed has a very clear meaning. Maybe there are people who are very trembling, so the shaking raises concern for them,” he said.

Ade Irfan joked that Anies was shaking when he heard Jokowi’s statement about these girls. However, he suspects that Anies has another interpretation of Jokowi’s attitude towards dating because Anies no longer has the enthusiasm to compete in the 2024 election.

“Yes, it could be that with those words, he doesn’t even have the guts anymore, he doesn’t have the enthusiasm anymore to compete. He instead makes other thoughts or creates narratives that contradict what exists without any evidence, clarity and certainty,” said Ade.

Then Ade asked Anies not to just accuse and spread slander on issues that have no evidence. Because, he said, this was not a good example in educating the public.

Previously, Anies Baswedan received many expressions of concern after Jokowi stated that he would have female candidates for the sake of the nation and the state, including the issue of the 2024 elections.

“So in response to the news which revealed that the President took a stance not to be neutral and would go on a date. Since last night until this afternoon we have received a lot of expressions of aspirations and worries,” said Anies on Jalan Brawijaya, South Jakarta, Tuesday (30/5 ).

Anies outlined a number of expressions of concern received by Anies and the Coalition for Change. Among other things, obstacles to the potential for non-neutral elections in 2024.

“Some expressed fears of being thwarted, some expressed fears of criminalization, some were concerned about the impartiality of the election administration, there were concerns about candidates who might be treated unfairly, parties who could be treated unfairly, presidential candidates who could unfair treatment,” said Anies.

“Then the potential for fraud, all of which are feared to arise due to statements that are not neutral and interlocutors,” he added.
