Navy (AL) added one fleet warship named ‘KRI Pollux-935‘, produced by PT Karimun Anugerah Sejati (KAS).
The Chief of Naval Staff (KSAL) Admiral TNI Yudo Margono said the new warship will be controlled by the Hydro-Oceanography Center of the Indonesian Navy (Pushidrosal) as the National Hydrographic Institute and the Indonesian Marine Geospatial Information Center.
Yudo entrusted the command of the ship to Marine Major (F) Tomy Ronaldy, an alumnus of Dikmapa PK TNI batch X in 2003.
“Hopefully the presence of this KRI can increase the spirit and sharpen the capabilities of the Indonesian Navy in carrying out marine survey and mapping tasks,” Yudo said in a written statement, Thursday (5/8).

Moreover, KRI Pollux-935 is a Hydro Oceanographic Auxiliary (BHO) type ship that has been produced by foreign shipyards.
“We show other nations that we are able to stand on our own feet while continuing to catch up with what has happened so far,” said Yudo.
