Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman introduced the new uniform of the Indonesian Army. Dudung said that the plan to change the new uniform had existed since the Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, General Andika Perkasa, served as KSAD.
“The new uniform was actually created by Mr. Andika Perkasa when he was the Army Chief of Staff,” said Dudung at the Army Headquarters, Jalan Veteran, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (2/3/2022).
Dudung explained that the new TNI AD uniform made by Andika Perkasa was slightly changed when he was KSAD. “Then there was an evaluation from the assistants, there were a few color additions,” added Dudung.

Not only uniforms, brevet was made new. according to Sit downthis new uniform makes the TNI AD appear with its own characteristics.
“The brevet has also been made by Mr. Andika. So we just use it, yes, the style is then. There used to be NKRI stripes, now there are Army stripes,” he said.
Dudung said that so far the Indonesian Army did not have a striped uniform that was typical of its dimensions.

“Because the Army doesn’t have any stripes, apparently. So this one (pointing to old clothes) is TNI stripes Malfinas. Now, these are Army stripes,” he added.
The TNI AD’s new striped uniform has also been worn Sit down. In addition, Deputy Army Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Agus Subiyanto and several other top Army Headquarters officials have also worn the new uniforms.
