KSAD General Dudung Abdurachman Reveals Reasons for Brigadier General Tumilaar Detained

TRIBUNNEWS.COM, JAKARTA – Chief of Army Staff (KSAD) TNI General Dudung Abdurachman confirmed that the Special Staff of the KSAD Brigadier General TNI Junior Tumilaar arrested.

Dudung also revealed the reason why Junior was detained.

According to Dudung, every soldier who carries out a task must be ordered by his superiors and there is an order.

“He was without orders and on behalf of the Special Staff of the Army Chief of Staff to defend the people. That is not his capacity as a regional unit, Babinsa should be up to the Kodim who carry out these activities and of course coordinate with the regional government and local security forces,” said Dudung when contacted by Tribunnews.com on Tuesday ( 22/2/2022).

Dudung emphasized that Junior was detained because he had carried out activities outside of his main duties.

“He carries out activities outside of his main duties. Special staff of the Army Chief of Staff must have permission from the Army Chief of Staff when leaving, but he acts in the name of defending the people even though it is not the authority in question,” said Dudung.

It was previously reported that a photo of a handwritten letter in the name of Brigadier General TNI Junior Tumilaar circulated on social media on Monday (21/2/2022).

The letter was regarding Junior’s request to be evacuated to the RSPAD from the Military Detention Center (RTM) Cimanggis, Depok, West Java because he was suffering from stomach acid or GERD.

The letter was addressed to the Army Chief of Staff, Ka Otmilti II, Danpuspom AD, and Ditkum AD.
