KSAD Dudung Reported to Puspomad

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A number of community groups who are members of the Coalition of Ulama, Habaib and Anti-Defamation Lawyers (KUHAP APA) reported that the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General TNI Sitting Abdurachman to the Army Military Police Center (Puspomad), Friday (28/1/2022).

This report relates to Dudung’s statement which was considered offensive to certain religious people when he was a guest star on a talk show on YouTube.

Coordinator of the Criminal Procedure Code APA Damai Hari Lubis said Dudung’s statement did not reflect his main duties as a high-ranking Indonesian Army officer.

“So it is not ethically and legally appropriate,” said Damai in a written statement received by Kompas.com, Sunday (30/1/2022).

In Damai’s view, the speech delivered by Dudung was not good.

According to him, Dudung’s statement was also full of formal crimes and contained general offenses.

This means, he said, there is no need to report even the competent authorities can investigate or process Dudung personally due proccess or applicable provisions.

“Therefore, we are forced to make a complaint or report against General Dudung in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,” he said.

Damai claims that the report against Dudung has been received by an officer named Agus Prasetyo.
