Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) Andika Perkasa is recorded to have a wealth of Rp. 179.9 billion. The assets are listed in the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) which he reported on June 20, 2021.
Andika has a wealth of land and buildings worth Rp 38,164,250,000, spread across East Jakarta, Central Jakarta, South Jakarta, Sleman, Cianjur, Surabaya, Bogor, Tabanan, Bandar Lampung and Bantul. There are also addresses in Australia and the United States.
He also owns a 2014 Landrover Sport 3.0 V 6 car worth Rp. 800 million, and a 2018 Mercedes Benz Sprinter 315 car worth Rp. 1.8 billion.
There are also other movable assets owned by Andika worth Rp. 10.1 billion, marketable securities of Rp. 2,146,000,000, and cash and cash equivalents of Rp. 126,985,922,019.
Recently, General Andika Perkasa poked fun at the fat-bodied military district commando commanders (Dandim).
KSAD General TNI Andika Perkasa, during the 2020 Central Danrem-Dandim Apple Ceremony, initially summoned the Kapushubdar Lt. Gen. Wahyu Agung and the IX/Udayana Commander in Chief, Lt. Gen. Andika praised the two officers for being 57 and 58 years old, but having good bodies. Andika then asked the fat Dandim to come forward.
“Try who is fat, the Commanders. Is there a fat Dandim? Tell me here,” Andika said on the TNI AD’s official YouTube account, Tuesday (29/6/2021).
Andika admitted that he was worried about the condition of members of the Indonesian Army who were overweight. According to him, the conditions are not ideal and susceptible to disease. Andika said that in 2020, 539 members of the Indonesian Army died due to illness. Only a small proportion died from COVID-19.
“Of the 539, those who are sick plus COVID, 58. So actually, 500 are seriously ill. Serious illness includes diabetes, kidney failure, heart failure, stroke. We can actually take care of that,” he said.
