LECCE (ITALPRESS) – Lecce and Sassuolo play openly and in the end a draw comes out at Via del Mare. The absolute protagonist, however, is Andrea Consigli, who on at least four occasions avoids the Giallorossi’s goal, but the Emilians, in turn, also become dangerous after the 1-1 draw despite not challenging Falcone.
Lecce aggressive at the start. Strefezza catches Almqvist who looks for an assist for Krstovic, anticipated by Erlic at the last minute. Lecce revived first with a post from Krstovic (but offside), then with a shot from Gendrey assisted by Almqvist who found a response from Consigli. The Neroverdi goalkeeper seems unbeatable and also saves on Almqvist (46′), then Baschirotto heads wide with an empty net. In the second half they are ready to go and, following the development of a corner, Baschirotto serves Krstovic who controls and beats Consigli to make it 1-1. However, Sassuolo starts again: Berardi for Racic, ball out (10′). The neroverdi pick up the pace, Berardi forces Pongracic to save a beaten Falcone (25′). However, a thrill for Dionisi’s team in the 29th minute when Pongracic slipped when hitting the ball. Strefezza (32′) and Defrel (35′) also try, Via del Mare is seething with passion but the Giallorossi goal doesn’t arrive and at the final whistle a point each arrives which is useful for both to move the table.
