Kristine’s Touching Tribute to Walter Frydenberg: Fulfilling His Last Wish and Keeping His Memory Alive

Well, the singer tells the publication that she managed to protect her lover’s ashes through the court. Meanwhile, the relatives have only set up a memorial place in the cemetery. “It was important to me that what Valcha wanted was fulfilled. He didn’t want to be buried and create a physical place,” Kristine explains.

At the end of October, she had gone to Portugal because she felt she was finally ready to fulfill Walter’s last wish and scatter his ashes in the ocean. “I was not ready for this either last year or the year before. Mourning has its own duration,” says Kristine. It also allowed her to heal herself.

Kristine reveals to the publication “What’s New” that she still feels Walter’s presence and “sees” his smile, his gait, his movements. “There is a lot of love that I have kept in me, and brightness,” says Kristine and adds that it is hard for her to believe that five years have already passed since her friend passed away.

It has already been announced that in 2016 Walter Frydenberg was diagnosed with cancer. In the fall of 2017, fans of the musician’s talent donated money so that the artist could go to Germany for treatment. In the following spring, he returned to Latvia, and with his characteristic joie de vivre said that he was already feeling much better.

Frydenberg passed away on October 17, 2017 at the age of 30.

Walter Frydenberg’s musical career began in the popular children’s ensemble “Dzeguzīte”. After that, he played music in the band “Putnu balle” for many years, but later took the place of vocalist in the group “Tumsa”.
