Since the beginning of this year, Kristina Orbakaite has found herself at a disadvantage. She specially organized a tour of Russia to please her fans in the most remote corners of the country. However, in some cities, residents opposed the star’s arrival.
She faced the scandalous cancellation of her concert in Ulan-Ude, and the event in Blagoveshchensk could also be disrupted. Orbakaite’s opponents said that they do not want to see in their cities a singer who lives almost constantly in the United States and has American citizenship. The artist comes to Russia only to earn money.
However, as it became known, the performer’s haters are mistaken. The star did not remain silent about her attitude towards America. It turned out that despite the fact that she had the right to her husband’s citizenship, the singer refused to draw up these documents. Concert organizer Sergei Zaitsev spoke about this, citing a statement from the artist herself.
“Director Alexander Kachan specifically asked Christina this question and received a clear answer. She has never had and does not now have US citizenship,” – noted the manager.
