Survivors Finland The eighth season of the series starts on September 1 on Nelose and Ruudu. Two winners from previous seasons make a surprise return to the series: Kristian Heiskari and Sami Helenius. Heiskari also won Big Brother – program in 2019.

Heiskari told Iltalehte that he expected the second season to be tougher than his first time in Survivors.

– The first time I was still a relatively anonymous guy, not everyone had really watched Big Brother. Now it was a bit different, Heiskari states.

He believes that his position in the series is more difficult with his fame.

– When the gang already knows who I am and what I do, it’s pretty straight forward that they probably get some kind of aim on their foreheads.

Kristian Heiskari and Sami Helenius are tribal leaders in the competition. A similar role has not been seen in Survivors before.

– It’s more of a burden than a bonus. If you are in such a position, it means that you are even more visible than if you were just some previous competitor, Heiskari commented on the role of the tribal leader.

– Sam and I were pretty much alone here.

Heiskari says that he started the program to do everything possible.

– Let’s mix things up and do things that don’t even seem logical in terms of the game, he says.

The reality TV star has a succinct answer on how Survivors will be won.

– With luck, he says.

However, he adds that it is also important to be everyone’s friend and of course to be good at everything and win all the Untouchables in the game. Heiskari himself feels that he is an average, steady performer both in competition and in life.

The first for Heiskar Survivors– time was a dream come true – he himself had already watched the program as a child. He went for the second time, so that he wouldn’t regret not going when he was old.

In the previous Pohjola season, Heiskari competed in Sweden’s Haaparanta archipelago, while now the competitors headed to Malaysia.

When it comes to TV appearances, however, Heiskar has come up against some sort of wall.

– This reality TV thing is starting to be seen now, Heiskari states.

Heiskari says that he does not directly say no to future reality TV participations, but already wants to direct his eyes to other things. He reflects that he has already told everything in public – perhaps too much.

However, Heiskari doesn’t really regret anything he said.

– Of course, you can think about everything and learn in the future, he reflects.
